Time for the ol' girl to head to bed for the winter. I didn't get to pull the engine as planned, but I also don't have a garage so it is probably best to save it until spring. This winter I'll be cleaning up the parts, rebuilding the distributor and carburetor and painting parts.

New discovery
After finding the serial number on the tranny bellhousing, and the matching number on the frame, I discovered that my truck is a 1942, not a 1946 like I had originally thought. There is hardly any difference between 42 through 47.
I pulled all the plug wires, the distributor, the fan and all the belts. My father came over and helped get the bolt to the generator off (after I loosened it)...
